    Slant 6 down on power.

I haven't been using my Dart much lately and have noticed it is way down on power. Vacuum is about 10 - 11 at idle which according to all the info I read is 'late valve timing' The motor is sound, blows no smoke and uses no oil. Any thoughts ?

    Mopar electronic ignition?

Thanks for the reply. It is on a '66 Dart GT. The previous owner fitted it so I don't know. It could be some cheap knock off. Sometimes the car can be hard to start and have an uneven idle. It has the normal heavy black ceramic (?) base. We were just trying to see if there was any visible...

    Mopar electronic ignition?

The ignition on the Dodge stopped working and we had to fit a new module. The base was loose so we pulled it apart to find it was full of what appeared to be wet sand? Is this supposed to be some sort of moisture absorbent? If so it certainly worked. So much water it fried the ignition...

    '66 Dart dash/guages options?

Not so much a custom cluster but I did make this gauge set for my GT. I have never been a fan of the small panel with two or three gauges hanging under the dash. I had previously made a custom console to fit the stereo into.

    Dual Stromberg CD150 carbs

I got this running and driving with the kickdown connected yesterday. The local motorbike shop made a custom kickdown cable for me. The engine previously had a dual barrel Carter carb and the new dual CD's are definate improvement in power and smoothness. Still a little bit of tuning to do...

    Rocker cover.

The pattern is made from MDF sheet (timber) At the moment I am too busy with other things to finish the pattern. The biggest event of the season down here.... www.beachhop.co.nz ......is on in three weeks and I still have to get my car running properly. Also have to make a custom...

    Dual Stromberg CD150 carbs

Got the throttle linkage all done today. Waiting on some different links to use on the kickdown cable. Probably be next week before it is all finished and ready to drive. I am going to connect a choke cable to use to advance the idle when cold.

    Dual Stromberg CD150 carbs

Got it running yesterday. Starts and idles nice. Spent a bit of time getting the carbs balanced. I am awaiting some parts to arrive so I can sort the linkages. Kickdown will be a bit of work. I am really happy with the way it looks. Fills the engine bay well. Something different. I...

    Dual Stromberg CD150 carbs

Started fitting everything up over the weekend. Fits in quite nice. Makes for a wide engine. Awaiting some throttle links and will have to get a kickdown cable custom made but hoping to at least have it running today.

    1965 Dodge Dart Charger

Over the past couple of weeks I have read this thread right through. What a fantastic job you are doing of this restoration. The knowledge on this board is quite amazing. I have found myself reading a post on here and then going out to the garage to check different items on my '66 Dart GT...

    Dual Stromberg CD150 carbs

It has taken a while for the carbs to arrive but they are here at last. I will have to get a kick down cable made and some fuel fittings sorted out. I think I should be able to use the original throttle cable. Just need to find some time. A 'trial fit' shows they should clear...
