New Mancini Timing Cover Fitment Issue

From the looks of the cover , should be '70 or newer.

New Mancini Timing Cover Fitment Issue

The old cover has an internal seal. The new cover? Seems like I saw this the other day, internal seal, external seal. I can quite imagine that the timing cover is difficult to get on with the pan still on. The oil pan goes on hard with the timing cover in place. Plus, the harmonic...

    Blown 440 spark plug gap

I ran an Accel dual point and Super coil on my blown Rat motor 475 cu in, 21% overdrive on an 871 blower. I never gapped my plugs special, .032 or .035 as I remember. This was in a pickel fork jet boat. Ran and beat the hell out of it on the Mississippi River every weekend. I will...

8 3/4 spitting gear oil out of breather vent

I probably pitched it. I had the same problem as the OP. Got mad and tore it apart, oh, it wasn't an orginal, it was a replacement. Got the cap off and there was a very light spring with a rubber washer in there. I agree about not wanting pressure, it's a vent. I have a new vent from...

8 3/4 spitting gear oil out of breather vent

The replacement ones have a spring and a rubber washer to throttle the pressure.

    Headlight Relay Kits

That's why I hate LED's, glare, the only person that can see is the guy driving them. I try not to drive at night anymore unless I get caught because that's all that's out there.

    Thermostat Gasket

I tried tightening it down from light to too much, didn't matter. Sanded housing flat, filed the intake, never had these issues that I remember from working at a garage for awhile in the late 60's, early 70's. The o-ringed housing is the fix, I have never had to mess with the damn thing...

8 3/4 spitting gear oil out of breather vent

Yes, mine leaked with the new aftermarket vent tube. I thought that maybe something was sticking and building up pressure, I was having trouble with the pinion seal at the same time. I made up a pigs tail brake line tube , it works, just haven't gotten around to playing with it again...

    Thermostat Gasket

There are different size diameter thermostats. Thermostats should not rattle or move around.

    Thermostat Gasket

Real Gasket worked for me 3 years ago, but when I went to a Flowkooler water pump, it blew the gasket out 2 times in a row. I then changed to a Flashpower o-ringed thermostat housing, no leaks or blowouts since.

72 dusrer 4 speed with bench seat hurst shifter handle info needed.

Well, yes and no. A car that I bought had an overdrive shifter, I believe. It was a bayonet, they cut a little off the bottom and drilled 2 holes for the comp plus that was being used, but it was still bent wrong, so I took a torch to it and bent it up to the shifter that you want, but you...

    69 Barracuda Back up lights

They have to be getting power from somewhere. Start looking at a switch would be my guess.

rocker shafts installed backwards... long read. but pics!

Ya gotta look at them too. My aftermarket shafts, came with the rockers, the notch is up, oil holes down. Just saying that you can't just assume notch is down and good to go.

    Air Tracker

Understand completely! I only have a couple of friends that I would loan money to, and vise versa. They would do the same for me, because we know going in that I would take care of things as soon as we got home, and they would to. I know exactly what you are saying. Hang in there!
