I agree. Go to the parts store and get a stock unit from a Dakota. I have a 500" B block with 13.5:1 compression. No issues. Cheap with a warranty. Can't beat it
I had the same problem. I went to a champion 4 core radiator. I had to do a lot of "massaging" to get a larger unit in there. It still ran hot. I went out and bought a wideband O2 sensor and put it in. I was running way lean at part throttle. It was around 18:1-20:1 AF mixture. I adjusted...
I just put mine in the end of last year. I was lucky enough to get it on the road on November 1st. In Ohio, we had a freakish 65 degree day. The system works great on the street. It is rock solid stable. I purchased everything that Denny recommended for the front end. My original k member...
Thanks Hemi Mark!!!
That's exactly what I was looking for! Ever thought of adding another sliding cross brace so you can separate the trans from the engine?
I appreciate the pic!
For the people that have the HDK K member, has anyone designed a cradle for it for removing it from under the car? If so, where did you put the "legs" that go from the front of the car to the back. Not sure how much sense this is making. If anyone has pics that would be great! I want to make...
I did pick it up there. I was able to take it home to do amock up then take it back for final welding. It was very easy to install. Maybe a couple hours to install. I have a 400 block with SR heads and TTI 2 1/8 step headers. Fits perfectly!!
I just got my HDK kit installed before the weather changed here in Ohio. I used these shocks on the front of my Dart. The car is a completely different car now. It is a night and day difference. The car steering is very precise. I can't wait to take it to the track next year. Denny was very...
Hello all,
I just picked up my HDK K member and it looks amazing! I am confused about the braking options for the car. I know that I need a setup for a Mustang II. The confusion comes with the choices that I have. Wilwood makes a nice 4 piston and six piston kit with a 12 inch rotor. I...
