UPDATE: Project found and safely home. Blue 1969 Valiant, slant 6, Wyoming car with a clean body. (Very similar to yours 67autocross with just a little more meat left on the bone)
Thank you for the help!
67autocross thank you soooo much for taking the time to capture and upload all these photos. That is a little more rust than he'd prefer to work through at the time so he's going to pass. Again, appreciate all the time. I like the AWD idea - that's something out of the ordinary!
You get that...
Thanks! I'd say it'd be worth some more pictures if you get the chance.
The project itself would be more dedicated to autocross (i.e. floor removed, fabricated frame, custom front and rear suspension) but it'll also see a good amount of street use. Just looking for a decent starting point with...
67autocross thank you for the reply! The "rusty" 68 sounds like the more viable option. Would you mind sending some photos along with any other info you have about the car? Feel free to PM if you prefer.
...Looks to be roughly a 7 hour drive :)
Thank you again
Hello A-Body Nation
I'm trying to help my best friend who helped me restore my Duster find his own A-Body project. He's partial to the 1967 - 1969 Plymouth Valiants. (More preferably '69) Not picky about motor, trans, interior or rear end. He's a professional restoration specialist by trade but...
Thank you sn1230 - I wasn't sure if the images were still visible on the new forum. For me all I see is the gray boxes that ask me to download the image if I want view. Appreciate your comment :)
Ha - thanks limegreen70. I certainly feel lucky to have tied the knot such a wonderful woman. The car was a matter of having the right best friend with the know how to do things the right way.
I don't deserve either but thank God everyday for both.
Quick work by Marv allowed us to have the exhaust completed on Wednesday afternoon. Thanks to a late night alignment at a buddys shop on Thursday, we were finally road worthy! (Just 1 day before the wedding)
That night was the first time I was really able to get a feel for the car on some...
I really appreciate that 67 prostreet gt. I wish I would have had this car done 3 years earlier but nope, at that point in time she was still on the rotisserie and I was still making engine noises with my mouth.
It's always been a dream of mine to get down to Columbus for the Mopar Nats...
Hey Superod - sorry, I don't really have any good pictures of the exhaust at this point in time. She's all packed away for the long Minnesota winter. I'll be sure to get some pictures on the hoist when it warms up again. We routed the exhaust underneath the axel and then back up by the bumper...
Thanks! Mother Mopar gave us some great flavors to choose from!
Thanks! The open headers were fun but deafening! The engine harness is a all routed through a single connector at the back of the firewall. If I wanted to pull the motor - I'll I'd do is unhook the connector, unbolt the tranny...
With only 6 days before the wedding we were in full thrash mode!
The interior was mostly complete, rear end and motor were set, electrical was done and so were the brakes. Thanks to some quick work at Master Transmission in Rosemount, MN John had the TorqueFlite A727 back in fighting...
While my focus was set on completing the interior, Chuck spent some much needed time on the grille. The original was actually in decent shape with only a couple minor cracks. After some industrial epoxy was applied everything was then sanded smooth. Chuck then shot the grille with the same satin...
