I have pretty much the same setup as your Tru Trac and 12” spal fans, but the fans are the thick paddle style ones with no shroud, and I have nothing but problems with over heating also.

Well got the engine all painted and back in, hopefully for the last time.

Got the new motor mounts made. The wells look terrible compared to the HDK Frame.

I got the front end in, now I need to reinstall the engine to remake some motor mounts.

There is a web site call ( 4bt swaps ) and they tons of info like on this site. They don’t only deal in 4bt’s, but also in 6bt’s and Isuzu engines as well, and some others I can can’t think of.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking also, but Denny did say that the manufacturer says they want the spring to compress so much. And, like you said I can go higher if need be. I have had coil overs on a Neon and they come to stiff and it bounces really bad, which I don’t want. I want good handling...

The 4bt is sold with a balance shaft in an agriculture application. It adds even more height to the engine. I have seen one one time when I worked at Cummins. It’s there so it can run at a high rpm, of what I don’t know though.

Yeah, a NV4500 would be great in that. I wish I was able to fit the one I had in better. That shifter would of been right into the a/c ducting. Whether you use a 4bt or a 6bt, it would be great in that truck. You can find VE-pump 6bt pretty cheap, especially compared to a 4bt, though the 4bt...
