Gasser axle [a/d100 shortened ]on 66 valiant

The Hedman Huslers....true fenderwells...the Hooker "semi fenderwells" hit the springs. I don't have the part number handy but I believe there is only one application for a smallblock in an early A.

I would still use the 4 inch dropped axle if I were to do it again. The undropped axle sits too high in my opinion, and it still might end up needing some spacers. The 4 inch dropped axle worked fine with a little spacing, and you can use the stock steering box and k-member. Dropped steering...

It's still not finished, but it's close...just needs the interior, and some minor things. It has Super Stock springs on the rear, so no need for the ladder bars. It's more of an A/FX style car than a straight up gasser.

    Early A-Body Windshields, good purchase!

The one for my '64 Valiant was under $200 installed, from the local "chain" mobile glass place....that was with my gasket and lock strip, and included the install of my rear glass, also with my gasket and lock strip....

    1964 Valiant straight axle build

Thanks! The Fairlane sounds like an awesome sleeper...must have been a blast! I have a Cleveland in that '61 Galaxie in those pics (and elsewhere in this thread), and although there are still a few bugs to work out with the car...it pulls hard!

    1964 Valiant straight axle build

Thanks! It sounds like yours will be fun. My clubmate has built three Slant Six powered cars. A roots-blown T-bucket, a turbo Model A roadster, and a multi-carbed rail dragster. All very fast cars.
