Basic low compression build balanced and forged pistons, mild cam and run the blower!!! Or low comp stroker and blower. You already have it and 20-30lbs aint **** for added weight!!! You'd never know it was there from that perspective plus build bigblock torque to boot??? no brainer for me JMO

ChinaGap aint worth the "savings". Bolt bosses milled at wrong angle. Get ready to experience oil weeping up the bolts and making a nice pond of oil sure to make a mess. My 2 cents worth
My gut (for what that's worth haha) suspects timing. I fought mine a bit until I figured out my distributor vacuum advance was leaking.... bout pulled my hair out. That combo should make good torque. Any detonation? Pinging under acceleration??
weird, she oughta run strong I'd think. My combo is similar to yours but with a chinagap intake and summit 750 carb and much ported 596 heads with 2.02/1.60s. With 273 gears (for now) it pulls like a freight train. Mutha thumpr cam too
