You're right as far as the vinyl bits go, but vinyl repair can be quite expensive, at least more expensive than getting junked parts. As for the metal piece, yeah I've looked into having that recreated, and I might have to down the line, but again super pricey to have done. Other option is just...

That is TREMENDOUSLY helpful. Now I see what the linkage is supposed to look like. Whoever modded this created a weird bracket to support the rod and added a clip for the wire (quite clever actually). Also explains why my mpg is such crap. Think what I'm gonna do is rig this thing up tight...

Yeah, that's pretty much what I've got going now (and had been going). It was a small length of throttle cable bolted to each end. Worked fine, till it snapped. I've reattached it, but I'm worried it's going to snap again, because the cable kind of bends as it's activated, hence wearing it...

Hi, do you still have the door locks?

One of the hinge pins in my convertible top is busted. Could replace with a bolt + locking nut, but worried about wear. If anybody either has one or can recommend a suitable replacement it's be much appreciated.
