    I think you might have been right, Engine bay is dry, no oil leaks, I changed the oil on the car, The old oil filter was plugged up and broke down, put fresh oil new filter, since that no more oil loss at all. This is very strange how this happened.

    Cross Flow or Down Flow Radiator???

    Hi All, I found a few after market reproduction radiators for the 60 Dart! The stock one I have I'm pretty sure its a down flow, I found a cross flow with the same measurements and its a 3 core! Should I rebuild the stock one or put a Repro Cross Flow Rad?? Which one will work more...

    Well after the diagnosis, the rad is internally breaking down. We ende up draining the system and flushing, chunks of rust particles came out of the rad. I will be sending out the rad this week for the rebuild unless you guys know of a better rad to install in the old rads place? Ill be doing...

    Ill have to get a better gauge setup, it still likes to go to the hot side, for what ever the reason it's not staying cool, a friend of mine is coming up tomorrow he was a licensed mechanic ill get him to look at it and see what we can do to get it fixed! Thanks for the help guys!!

    Ok, I ended up draining 4 litres out of the rad and put back a 65/35 water mix because I put too much contracted coolant here's where the gauge is Is this ok where it's at??

    My gauge is Reading 75 Ohms when hot (Hot being C--------'--H) , 71.5 after sitting for 45 Min Its Now Reading C-----'-----H The thermostat I put in starts at 160F to open its a early one

    The day after I get my brakes fixed, the coolant temp sensor went bad, replaced it and now the gauge is reading really hot, and can feel the heat, I did a thermostat, coolant flush and still running hot. Bad Rad or Water Pump?? its on the 1960 Dart 318

    Update!! I ended up sending my drums out to get machined, and grinded the edges down off the shoes, then put it all back together The drums were extremely out of round, once I got them back and put the grinded shoes in, it brakes perfectly now it seems, no locking up at all! Big Thanks...

    Im getting the drums machined, and sanded down all 4 shoes, and will grind down the edges on the shoes. Im hoping this helps if not I will be replacing shoes & spring kit again lol

    Locks up while rolling at low speed, I will grind the edges and re adjust the shoes again and hope it works, I can see the wheel cylinder retracting, maybe the shoes are too tight?

    I reused the shoes because I replaced them 5 years ago and have done minimal driving, the brake fluid never touched the shoes, the shoes and springs, & spring kit, and the Drums were replaced, and now I did the wheel cylinders flex hoses and brake lines.
