Wouldn't dye or any chemical compromise the integrity of the belt? I know that with baby car seats, you're NEVER supposed to do anything like this or even wash them in a washing machine.

No I havent. I haven't actually driven it around Huntsville in 10yrs. I look forward to checking those out. I've kinda avoided car shows for years because the car bummed me out. Looking forward to getting it back on the road this year!!
