Hopefully nobody minds me hijacking this thread a little bit, but I figured this is the best place to post since it is a current thread on the filter adapter. How do you get the thing off? Mine is leaking oil. Does it just twist off like a standard filter? I didn't want to just start tugging on...

No worries. At least I made the connection at the hardware store. I went ahead and bought both just in case, but I was pretty sure it was 1/2" when the 7/16" didn't fit the 3/4" socket I grabbed off the rack for checking. And of course, wouldn't you know it that the damn washer went missing...
