i am going to swap my 318 for a 340 in my 72 Dart. I don't believe that I have ever seen a 340 with air. I don't think it should be a problem, but I thought I would run it by you guys to make sure. Don't judge me, I just like AC! Pete

Do you have all the AC components, including the dash control?

Thanks for the response on the 72 AC that you have. Do you have the entire system and plumbing as well, or just the AC/Heater box?

I have a 72 swinger shell that I am gathering parts for. It is an AC car and I want to rebuild it that way. Unfortunately, no AC parts. What model years can I use for parts? Can I use my 74 Duster for reference? I seem to remember that there was a change in systems and set ups at some point.

Thanks to all. A little confused still, so let me add this. The 71 340 that o have is a forged crank motor that I had rebuilt. Not sure if it is internally or externally balanced, but I can find out. Does this info effect any of the responses above?

I have a 1974 Duster with a 318 / 904 set up. I am considering swapping my 1971 340 into the vehicle, but I want to make sure that I have all my bases covered. What engine mounts do I need to use? The 340 will mate to the 904 with no problems, right? All of the current 318 underhood...
