i just got the new alt and sent the new style square back. My old system had the 2 wires. I dont really care what alt is on as long as it works and not rigged. The square back has 3 wire hook up. If i read other replys correctly i would need to ground one of connections to make work?

I took alternator to have tested. They said it was bad. Will rebuild this one and see what happens

Ok car has been completely restored paint engine and all. I parked car for little while and my battery died. I replaced battery and was fine drove car all day no issues. Went to dinner with wife and dead battery. The car is no longer charging. I did same as i did last time. Changed vr and still...

I pulled the wire harness apart and traced all the wires. Pulled one fuse at time removed both door switches. Touched the light housing in back pannel...click lights go off. Simple wire on housing was grounding out. Lesson learned K.I.S.S now need to clean it all back up. Thanks for help

Yes i took wire harness out and fixed wires that were bad. Im confused on why it works then shorts out little later.

Thanks for help it was working fine before i painted car. No delayed light before. Looking for diagram of yellow n pink wire

But light turns on and off just fine. No delay goes back on by its self hour later

I dont recall seeing that. Only thing close is turn signal relay by ashtray

What does it look like? Just strange the light works with doors then after little bit the lights stay on

I disconnect both switches and lights stay on.
