    holley or edelbrock?

for a street car there is nothing easier than the Edelbrock for a first timer trying to learn - Edelbrock for racing - Holley THe Edlebrock is very very simple...............no gasket below the fuel line, no vacumm stuff (mech secondaries), and I can tune it with 2 allen wrenches, a...

We'll be doing this starting in December..............we'd love to have you down if you want to come and see first hand................ As you know, we're also building a race motor as well with a carb running alky using a sheet-metal intake...........but really the process is the same...

    5.7 hemi into an A-body?

I read earlier where some are considering using the truck intake...............I highly suggest ditching the truck intake and going with the 6.1 (if you are using the truck frt timing cover). We port the 5.7 head and change its runner window....................we epoxy and reshape the 6.1...

    Advancing cam 2 degrees

the full, layman's response to the question is this: You have 2 "timings" that are discussed in automotives - ignition timing and cam timing...................both are in regards to their timing in relation to the piston (usually at TDC) While ign timing is relative to WHEN the spark...

    I thought it'd go faster....

I agree with this diagn. If the thing was nosing over at the top end, thats a classic case of valve float...............you never mentioned spring pressure or how old they are/were. I also agree that it may be a tuning issue but I don't feel that changing the cam all of a sudden makes the...

    Cuda color

#1. I prefer the 6-pack hood and we might need the space. #2. I prefer the orange; any shade because of the historical relationship #3. I love those recreated Ralley wheels in 17" #4. I actually like the frt spoiler

    Head Porting Help

considering we do this stuff at the shop, I'll give you a few good tips: #1. Even on the full port, start with the gasket match #2. Cut about 1/4" - 3/8" down into the port and match to your gasket #3. When you're done you'll have a ridge......blend the ridge into the rest of the runner...

    What Could/should It Run???

I agree............... I think you run the same valve train and work on the suspension and the short times..............there is power in the tune; I bet alot I would also consider playing with the cam install degrees to bring it on as early as possible..................cranking...

    What Could/should It Run???

I'd need to know where you are shifting to know if its "too much head". (thought I'd never say that phrase) Anyways............ Next is, "what kind of suspension are you running" and what are your short times...............you don't need much power to run low 12's If you can...
