I was able to make it out to the track again and unfortunately was only able to make 1 full pass. Not a perfect pass, had a little bog off the line and hit the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift. Overall not too bad, got a new best time.

Do it! The hardest part is the EFI tuning, if you are a novice to it like me. I enjoy the challenge and learning associate with it, but one can always hire that part out if you want.

Pretty stout number! What RPM was that pull to/what size are the turbos? Seem like it was just starting to come alive and then was shut down.

Thanks, I think the improving/fine tuning is the most fun part. I still have a couple changes in mind that I might try The HDK front end has been great for the last 3-4 years! I would still rate it as one of the most enjoyable upgrades I have put on the car.

Here's a pic for you. Threaded rods are just there for backup retention, I just don't trust the double sided adhesive tape on top. If I were to do it now, I would use these metal ones and rivet them on. Ford mustang, ford mustang s550 hood vents

Thanks man! Here's the video as well, I had to cut it down a lot. The roll bar mount for a camera phone was not the best, made the video terrible to watch. Anyways, just a quick little 2-step launch and 1-2 shift :)

Here's a couple more updates. I repainted the hood using SEM hot rod black.I also ditched the painted grill and went back to a more original look. Not sure if I will tweak it a bit further, maybe different headlights. I'll have a couple driving clips shortly.

Just a quick update, I've been updating a few things on the car getting ready to go to the track again. The largest change so far has been upgrading the front 11" iron mustang 2 brakes to some new 12.19" wilwood brakes. I weighed them on my bathroom scale and there is nearly a 30 pound weight...

Thanks man, I think I might try the wrinkle paint suggestion. Saw it out in the sun for the first time yesterday and didn't dig the brushed finish too much :)

Pretty close to finished on this little project. Not quite sure how I want to finish it yet. Debating black paint, brushed aluminum, or polished.

I decided to build a new intake pipe for the car that is appropriately size for the 102mm intake opening. Using 4.5" mandrel bent aluminum for this. Its getting closer to done, here is the progress I have made so far: 2 90* bends cut and welded together, its a pretty tight fit between the...

Red Headed Stepchild-75 Swinger LSX Swap

Cool, thanks for the info. Love the car. You might want to mess around in the holley EFI setup and get a 2-step rev limiter enabled with the transbrake. It sounds like the car is leaving the line on pretty much 0 PSI of boost. I would imagine you were around a 2.0-2.1 60-foot time at the track...

Nice to see another LS powered a-body post some results. I'm curious, how much boost are you running? What fuel(pump/e85/racegas)? What stall converter speed are you running?

One other detail I forgot to share. I had the car weighed without me in it - 3240 lbs. So it did get a little heavy with all the additions like: Iron block LS(aluminum heads) T56 magnum front and rear sway bars(solid) Caltracs bars power steering heavy-ish front seats full 3" exhaust out the back
