Strange Pilot/ hub size on 8.75 Rear drum brakes

Yeah, the trouble comes with finding replacement parts in a pinch, or going disc brakes down the line. It makes more sense to do it right the first time and find the correct brake parts rather than chasing down a million different leads, re-drilling for a bigger pattern, etc. It's not that...

Strange Pilot/ hub size on 8.75 Rear drum brakes

After getting in contact with the appropriate parties, It would appear that JEGS won't take the axles back because they've been installed, they have the bearings pressed on, etc... fair enough, it's in their written policy. I don't really get why Moser would make an axle in this configuration...

Strange Pilot/ hub size on 8.75 Rear drum brakes

Yeah the "SBP" and "BBP" clicked for me about 5 minutes after I posted, just forgot to edit lol thanks! I'll be looking online and I'll see what I can find. Thanks for all the help, and I'll be sure to follow up with whatever happens next!

Strange Pilot/ hub size on 8.75 Rear drum brakes

ok, that's great info, I didn't know that... Didn't realize there was that much going on with those axles. Just to be clear, what exactly do you mean when you say "SBP" and "BBP"? As far as the brakes go, they came with the rear which I got from a friend, so I was going to junk them anyway...

Strange Pilot/ hub size on 8.75 Rear drum brakes

thanks for the input, guys! I emailed Classic Industries about the size of the hole on their 10" A/B/E body rear drums they have available... we'll see what that yields I suppose. I thought I would have to drill out the pattern on some A-Body drums... Rockauto.com has a lot of 9"...

Strange Pilot/ hub size on 8.75 Rear drum brakes

Hey guys, I've been here for a while but haven't posted much. I've converted my '69 Dart to a large bolt pattern 8.75 rear, and I finally got it all together and in the car and I noticed an issue regarding the axles, which has an impact on the brakes. This is a little lengthy, so please bear...

    My '69 Dart GT Project

Do you know of anything specifically? I'm always open to ideas! Basically right now I'm looking to get it running and driving, and I'll most likely go for the higher end full kits later on when I'm out of school and (hopefully) employed. I only went with Hotchkis because it was the first big...

    My '69 Dart GT Project

UPDATE: Sold parts to Tony from Tony's Parts at Mopars at E-town a few weeks ago, made some cash to put into the project! My game plan changed a little since I'm getting the itch to drive this thing more and more each day. Right now, I'm planning on finishing the rear end to keep it...

'69 Dart rear suspension kit questions (RMS and ControlFreak)

Hey, it's Doug's son, Bryan... bought my headers and rear from ya ;) A week or so ago I found that Hotchkis has parts and a kit for front a rear suspension. It'll stay leaf spring, but for now I just want to get it on the road. I think I'll do kits later on and keep the leaf spring style...

'69 Dart rear suspension kit questions (RMS and ControlFreak)

That's an AMAZING system they got there on the site... I actually looked into Hotchkis' kits for the Dart and for around $3500 I can get front and rear parts, but the rear is still a leaf spring set up. for about $500 more I could get that beastly system there! My only question is that it...

'69 Dart rear suspension kit questions (RMS and ControlFreak)

Hey guys, I'm doing some research for my '69 Dart project. I'll be running a 440 and 727 combo to an 8 3/4 rear, using the car for street driving and some racing at the drag strip and auto cross. That being said, I had a few questions for anyone who's used the 4 link kits that RMS and...

    My '69 Dart GT Project

Alright, progress! sub frame connectors came in the mail today, weather stripping came last week, and now it's time to get busy! got a few questions for you guys, and anybody else who may have information I can use! 1) Trying to unload some parts and pieces I don't need for the car, and I...

    My '69 Dart GT Project

DOH! should be fixed now ;) Just Watched a Power Block kit on a fuel cell install they did in a later model Dart, and I feel pretty confident that when the time comes, I can do it. Confidence in new territory is a good feeling! As far as the tubs go, does anyone have an issue with the...

    My '69 Dart GT Project

21 years old and still in College, but I picked this car up from Queens, NY a few weeks ago. It had been sitting in a garage for 30 years and I was the first one to move it out since it was parked. 2 of the 4 drums were frozen but once we freed them up, it rolled right out. I have an...
