The plan is 5.9 magnum, dual plane, mild cam, 4 speed a833. Not sure about rear gearing yet. Assuming it probably has 2.76 right now. It won't be taken to a track. Just something to zip around and have fun. Going in a 67 b body.
Check out this page on Brewers. You should be able to identify the year by the 10,000 day calendar number.

Interesting. The two police versions i have are stamped 7T E440HP and 8T E440HP (1977 & 78). Or something like that. Good score anyways whatever it is.

Yeah, no idea. I'm just parroting from what info i've seen on different sites. Probably mostly emissions, exhaust, etc. Less "neutered" than the civilian 440s.

Latter model police pursuit 440 HP engines have that passenger side manifold. I have two of them 77 & 78 440HP. The stamp pad on top of the engine could confirm. They're still not super exciting engines at around 255hp but better than the 190hp civilian 440s of the same era.
This is a speedmaster i bought during their black friday sale. Wasn't impressed with the banana shaped ports and staggered ports. I don't know if they sell rejects for black friday. Sent it back.
Looking at a 2001 ram 1500 with a 5.9 magnum and blown transmission. I'm only interested in the engine. The owner put a new radiator (red flag) but didn't attach the transmission cooler lines. Looks like a fitting issue. If i start it up, will it spray tranmission fluid out of the cooler lines...
