    Map light switch

Thought I otta finish this off. While replacing wiper bushings, I found my map light stuffed under my glove box. I reattached it to the dash, and I'd already replaced my switch. Good to go. Thanks everyone who responded. The photos really helped.

    Power Steering Box question

Tough to say. Not leaking anymore, but I think my ps pump is shot now. Likely from prior owner running it dry too many times with the box leaking so bad.

    Emissions Stuff

Oh Wow!... Never mind...LOL It's right there in your photo! That's AWESOME! I've never seen a Vacuum amp mounted in that spot before. If you look by the muffler on your AC line with the red cap, the Vacuum Amp is mounted at a 4 o'clock position from the muffler. That's exactly the pic I...

    Emissions Stuff

Thanks for posting! Unfortunately, that's not the Vacuum Amp I'm looking for. I've got one of those too. I see your car as AC, just like mine. That little Vacuum reservoir is for the AC controls. The one I'm referring to is just like the one that Woody posted. Just... I can't find any...

Wipers... and oh I think this is gonna suck.....

Hi All.... I'm on a roll with all these posts tonight..... So... my wipers don't work. Motor works good, but the linkage has come off the motor. When I bought my car, and had a quick check out done on it, the mechanic told me the plastic bushings that hold the arms together were worn out...

    Horn

Hi All: A quick question about Horns. When I bought my car, the Horn didn't work at all. After some research, and a post about a NYC horns, I managed to get my horn working. Someone along the way disconnected the lead to the horn itself, and the horn relay was missing. I reconnected the...

    Emissions Stuff

Thanks everyone for chiming in. Emissions testing in Alberta is not near as bad as my post might make it out to be. Alberta has no emission testing at all. Except for one circumstance..... and I'm that circumstance........ If you bring an car here out of province or out of country, it has to...

    Map light switch

Oh...someone asked how the map light label attached. The map light label, is a piece of plastic with a lip on it that says Map Light. The switch mounts though a hole in the dash, the plastic fits over the end of the switch and there's a nut that holds the plastic piece and the switch in the dash.

    Emissions Stuff

Work on my 1974 Valiant continues to get it past inspection...... I need a functioning emission control system to pass. I've got the heated air intake working, the OSAC system working, the Evap system working and a new EGR valve and CCEGR switch installed. What I can't figure out is where the...

    Power Steering Box question

Hey all...figure I should update this post. Basically, I had a brain fart, with the stove on my right intake manifold a contributor. The steering box I got from Rock Auto, a Cardone rebuilt was a perfect fit. Thanks all for the input on this unnecessary wild goose chase.

    Seat Belt Repair

One more question for tonight :) Does anyone know who can repair the original seat belt retractors? My Driver's side bottom retractor doesn't work properly. It's locking the belt WAY too fast when you pull it out. Have any of you guys run into this? Were you able to fix it yourself? If not...

Door latches for 1974 Valiant Sedan

Hi All: I'm trying to put an order together through Classic Industries. One of the things I need is a door latch for the driver's side. The piece that catches on the door strike moves around and you have to push it into place before closing the door. Classic Industries has door latches for...
