Single or Twin turbo setup for 360?

Terrible idea for a towing application, just saying what needs to be said. Step up to a 408" with Trick Flow (or comparable) heads, because you'll be building another shortblock shortly after the first turbo build. Keep it simple (reliable), with gearing and displacement. It's a tow-rig, not...

I've seen A LOT of posts about making HP with a 318-So why is it so ???

After reading a few pages of interaction here, and looking at my own 'B/RB/G3 Hemi' bias - I don't see an issue with a 318, if expectations are kept reasonable. Expectations low, meaning 230 - 260 HP @ 5,000 RPM is a good place to start. We aren't talking about 'trick' builds to make this...

    Aftermarket gauges

Pretty funny reading this thread, because I went through this exact scenario, to the point of purchasing an expensive aluminum (o-ring sealed) water neck spacer specifically for adapting a probe - yet the autometer probe still hit the thermostat. It won't directly thread into even a Performer...

    New 4150 style Sniper EFI

If you care about reliability, I'm not sure that aftermarket EFI with the ECU mounted above the manifold would be the solution in the long run [start researching the failure rates of long-term units]. As long as you understand these systems share no relation in durability to your modern daily...

    New 4150 style Sniper EFI

I wouldn't consider anything but the Edelbrock Pro-Flo for a SBM, you get Fuel & Timing control [with an MPFI manifold] for $1900. You're still in it at least, another $300 for a dedicated fuel system. What makes more sense in terms of durability, an ECU mounted over your intake manifold or...

    New 4150 style Sniper EFI

What exactly are you hoping to achieve with EFI & most importantly; what is your budget? Camshaft profile? Would you rather have the ECU in the glove box or under the hood?

    New 4150 style Sniper EFI

Yes, most all of these systems utilize OEM sensors. Edelbrock looks like the most promising unit, as the ECU is remote mounted, no different than the Terminator kit from Holley. I haven't looked into it, but from what I've heard you cannot data log on the Edelbrock, is that correct?

    New 4150 style Sniper EFI

Considering millions of factory 1980's era TBI EFI systems would run in excess of 200,000 miles without major failure, every aftermarket system on the market is completely unreliable in comparison. These systems are not OEM quality, although most of the user serviceable components are OEM. The...

    New 4150 style Sniper EFI

My advice, become a member of the dedicated EFI groups on Facebook. Look through the past 30-days of posts to see if any system is truly for you.

My $210.00 3 Inch Exhaust System

If you're worried about the fuel tank becoming a heat sink, fairly simple solution is to wrap your exhaust or install some simple (OEM) heat shielding off a newer car.

    Cam advice or input

Well, I'll put this out their. Asymmetrical camshaft lobe designs, really look into some of the past research done by Harold Brookshire (UltraDyne -current Bullet Cams-, Comp Cams, Lunati Voodoo series). The Asymmetrical lobes in common-terms, allows the valve to be seated more gently than it...

    EFI Conversion

Kind of got here a bit too late, would have mentioned that Holley Sniper EFI how has the HyperSpark ignition system available with hall effect distributor, completely plug-and-play. I would agree with the above statement, Holley is perfecting the revolution that FiTech started with TBI EFI...

    Supercharged Non-Stroker vs Supercharged Stroker

Running a turbo with my previous RB motor, big displacement, low-boost is a great way to go about making power. Don't even consider it without EFI for a street car, just my opinion.

    340/416 vs 383 vs 440

You could easily keep your stock-stroke 340 and run a procharger (or any belt-driven s/c) kit with Sniper EFI / boost-referenced fuel system for nearly the same cost. May be something else you should consider.

Anyone run a holley sniper yet ?

I recently installed a Holley Sniper on a b-body (470ci low-deck) last Friday. The install took around four hours, as I already had a forward and return system. I've ran a twin-Walbro inline setup for years after the car was turbocharged, with saying that, it has a sumped fuel cell and the...
