The challenge is that the iron bellhousing has a different shape to it because of it needing to fit in a smaller tunnel. And the over drive housing does have the larger diameter hole but, does that really matter if the hole is a bit bigger that needed? does it need to be a exact fit?

8 3/4 rear end out of a A-body. Stock with Small bolt pattern axles 489 case with what I believe to be 3.23 open diff gears. The rear end has the 10" drum brakes and the shock mounting plates. I bought this for a project but sadly the car I was building was totaled.
