My mistake. I said the front kit was complete but I'd forgotten that the LCA tabs were included and I have those welded to my LCAs. Sorry about that. Those tabs are available for (I think) Mancini or (for sure) Hotchkis as a separate item. I ant to say they're around $20.
I have picked up some parts along the way that I do not need so I'm selling these Sway Bars.
Front kit is a Hotchkis PN 22385. It's for 1967 to 1972 Dodge A-body cars. It is entirely new, uninstalled and complete with all hardware and instructions. Sold separately: $150.
Rear kit is a...
I bought the Hotchis bar kit for my '71 Dart. Same P/N (22385F) that you referenced. I'm not happy. I located my tabs on the LCAs the only place they could be and they are 36.5" apart (hole CL to hole CL). Well, the Hotchkis bar is 38.5" wide, so the links are splayed way out and the...
Well, my sweet Goldie is back on the road. Energy Suspension came through (finally) with a prototype set of the strut rod poly bushings and, except for them being red while the rest of my bushings are black, they installed correctly and all seems good. Just got the car aligned and the next...
I guess I should have consulted with my son before I bought this kit. He used to work for O-Rielly's Auto Parts and he said their 'upper' kit was Moog and nobody ever had a problem with it.
I'm going to ride this problem with Energy Suspension all the way out. But it sure seems like the guys...
Got a reply from Energy today. They say that they are making new prototypes and I might get new-sized strut rod bushings shipped in a couple days. Which, if this works, is great. But how could it possibly be that they've gone this long with this problem? Concerning.
Also a concern, these...
1971 Swinger 318/904 bone stock. I am rebuilding my front suspension and steering and I am also upgrading to poly bushings, adding stiffening plates to the LCAs and adding a Hotchkiss anti-sway bar.
I have run into a problem on reassembly. I can't get the LCA into the proper position. It's...
Well, I hauled off and did the welding without knowing exactly where to put these tabs. But as it turns out, theres a ridge on the side of the LCA that seemed like a perfect location so I used it. Don't have the suspension reassembled yet, so maybe it ain't right. But it certainly seems like...
Wouldn't the factory have a known location for these? Surely they welded these on the LCAs at the same place every time. You can buy LCAs that have these on them. What happens there?
I am rebuilding my front suspension and doing some improvements along the way. I am going to poly bushings and I am going to weld in the stiffener plates from PST. I also am adding an anti-sway bar which means I need to weld the tabs onto the lower control arms where the links will be...
I was hoping that sometime in the last 4 years you've gotten around to hooking up this distributor. I just bought one and I need to find out just how I'm supposed to bypass the balast resistor and the electrinic control box. Do I just disconnect them or do I need to do anything else? Plus...
1971 Dodge Dart. Gold with a dark green vinyl top and rallys.
I've been trying to get an image of my car into this site but I guess I'm stupid 'cause it ain't worked yet.
What were you driving? I tried to talk to any Mopar guy I could find. Maybe we did talk.
Just got back from driving my '71 Swinger from Arlington, TX (home town) to Texarkana then Little Rock then back home on the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour. Me and my bud had a GREAT time (no BS). Would have loved to see more Mopar. There were over 4,000 cars, maybe 30 were Mopar. I'm used to...
