• Hi, I recently saw a 2017 picture of your round "carb kickdown lever length adjuster". I'd been trying to figure out how to adjust the pressure lever according to the Lokar and Bouchillon instructions, while still allow the carb throttle to open all the way and idle properly. Your part solves that problem. Assuming I am looking at this correctly, do you sell your part?
    Thanks,
    Ron

    No, I don’t sell those.
What I did was trim off some of the carb linkage so I had a surface to mount the aluminum disk.
    Then machine screwed it on.
Drill and attach your throttle stud and cut the slot for the throttle pressure stud.
One small hole for the return spring and done.
Most wouldn’t cut a perfectly good carb linkage to do it though.
Do you have any scratch or measurements of the a500 crossmember?

All I have is a rough diagram, (somewhere here)
My crossmember uses a spool type mount, but they do sell a prefabbed pancake style for this conversion.
ok on that. Do you know if there is a stand alone rev limiter that can be used with your hei setup?

There are a lot of them available through the aftermarket.
You just hook them up to the coil and/or module wiring the way the instructions say.
Most connect in the coil wiring.
Been searching through ignition posts looking for a different distributor setup. Curious why you don't make HEI kits anymore?

    Thanks

I really only built them to finance what I wanted for my own car.
Also got tired of one of the paying vendors bitching to Joey about it.

Gotcha. I was looking at your distributor and may end up going that way. I will be putting it in a 69 Cuda 340 and would appreciate it if you could let me know what else I will need to complete the system.

    Thanks

Will do, but I can't do it till later today.
I actually stopped doing the distributors as well because the prices went up, but I can tell you what you need and where to get it.
If you need some instruction on how to put things together I can help with that as well.
Does it have engine braking in first?
The very first thing I would try is rev that thing up nice and high and see if it can be forced to shift.
It may clear anything sticking and be fine after

What do you mean rev that thing? Sorry my english is not good enough
I've heard a lot about your hei upgrades can you send me info on them and do you do a headlight relay kit also
Hey Greg I sold you that 72 swinger a while back, I've got a street truck with a 327 corvette engine and I'm pretty sure it's been in the hands of some methballs, it's a wiring mess and I can't get the alternator to charge a battery, one of the distributor wires is cut can I please send you picks or have you stop by my location in Dewey? Thanks
I am looking to replace and upgrade from my proform distributor and orange box. I'm told you might be able to help. Fresh built 360 in a 71 Scamp.
question about your hei kits. how much for the coil/ecu kit and one with everything(inc. dist)? with the fabo discount?
Hi, I too see you may be the person to ask about updating a distributor for a small block. I was given an Large Cap HEI that likely won't fit - any ideas/suggestions? LIked the simplicity of the large cap but looks like I am small cap and ext coil bound. I'm ready to get the right parts - look forward to your suggestions! ('71 Demon 360)

    Hi,
We have advance modified distributor that are a perfect compliment to small block Mopar engines.

We have a website for them here : www.classichei.com
We are also the people that build HEI kits.

Have a look and ask any questions you feel the need to ask.
    Thanks for considering us.

It looks like a drop in Dist is $162 shipped - does that include wires and coil?

Never MInd I see from the Drop down it includes; Dist, Coil, and ECU. And I think one plug wire for the coil, or all the wires included? (apologies for the 20 questions)

At least I understand how it is wired :)
wow - came across 40 (for the first time) last year on the way to Irvine. Interesting how do you do it in that environment. Kudos I am duly impressed. But am great lakes kind of person so, you know, whatever..

I'm interested in the type/brand of adjustable pressure switches you use on your auto trans w/ OD and Lock-up? And do you have them wired through a solenoid to your brake switch so they drop out or disconnect when you touch the brake pedal?
About to set this up and trying to find out what all people are doing and being successful.
Good morning, lumpy cammed one,lol.. Going to paint, the trunk jambs,in three days off this week.. Cam sounds GOOD,through your crazy exhaust.. What's your initial timing?...
Who ground the cam,Greg? Sounds like the Comp 268 hydraulic non roller ramps, ground on a roller? Not a bad choice if so......
Nice detective work,on the TCP Global/Wally world paint connection. That color looks too close,to what's actually on the red car!
