Best guess on 416 motor

Do you use anything on the intake flange to setup the air into the intake port? If not, you'll always be off on your flow #'s. The air sheers on the edges of the port making it very turbulent all the way through the port and past the valve.
If you don't like clay or whatever, you should at least attach the intake manifold and clay the carb flange and flow it that way. JMO!!

My good buddy that owns the flow bench (and is the real head "head" in this equation) uses a wooden entry (radiused and smoothed of course) that is slightly larger than the port being flowed.

We didn't have time with the RHS heads, but I'd like to clay the EQ's that are up next and compare the numbers to the "woody"...
