Adopting a U.S. Soldier

The organization has gotten a large upsurge of soldiers requesting to be adopted, so I am trying to get the word out. Some of our soldiers don't hear anything from home; they feel they are all alone, and their buddies along side them are the only family they have. They appreciate anything and in fact, many are hesitant to ask to be adopted so their commanding officer will sign them up.

Again, all that is involved is sending them cards or letters; some of the soldiers have access to email, and I am sure it lifts their spirits when they return from a mission to read something from home.

If you're not good at writing, then maybe there's a member of your family or someone you know who is. This is a great thing to do as a family. You can also send care packages but it's entirely optional...if you have a hardcore bargain shopping family member, they will love hunting for items.

Several FABO members have already joined up, who's next?
