Magnum motors

after doing a bunch of EFI retrofits, i have some advice for you.
Reading intently LOL

1. pick up a complete engine/ecm harness from a wrecker, and a good wiring diagram. most factory EFI systems only need 3 or 4 wires from the recipient car to run. fairly self contained. youll spend more time making it neater and getting rid of unneccessary crap. if i remember right, the magnum setup requires 3.
Constant, and switched power, and ignition by chance? If I can get my better half to buy into my plan, I saw a 5.9 with harness on CL for $400 with a cracked block. I have seen where just the harness goes for over $200, so the extra accy's and other parts off the motor would be a bouns.

2. go in tank. the pressure is more stable, the pumps run cooler and last longer, and they are a BUNCH quieter. i usually run a GM L98 tpi pump, as they work and are cheap. also, i typically plumb with hardline for most, and AN pushlock for the flex lines.
Like this from Oreilly's?

3. run a high flow cat.
Should I run two with dual exhaust, or single, and Y it in and out for that dual look?

4. get a good code scanner. since youre OBD2, that will be difficult, but theres stuff out there for your laptop that works great.
I need to get one for work anyway, so maybe I can use it as a write off LOL

hope that helps.
