Keisler 5-speed conversion on Early A-body: Install has begun

I finished the install of the slave and master cylinder today. The bolt that holds the hose bracket to the bellhousing is too long to go in the bottom hole (as it must) so it will need to be washered or cut off. I just cut mine off. The new master cylinder went in without a hitch but getting that pin out of the clutch pedal was a mutha! The m/c shaft was too short ,but that was okay because I had the B-body m/c that had the adjustment rod. I just used a piece off it and I was good to go again. The slave cylinder is supposed to mount on the drivers side of the brake m/c but I couldn`t put it there on account of the voltage regulator and the fact that the firewall protrudes out right there. I caught hell trying to get the bracket on the back of the bellhousing opening cover to not spin when tightening it. When you have the Lakewood bellhousing, you can`t get to it. Oh yeah, the braided hose line has metric ends, so have some wrenches ready. I`m sure there`s more but I thought I`d prep you on a couple things I found. Regards- Longgone
