PST 1.03 inch torsion bars ?
I was on the phone with Dick at ffi today and thanked him for his excellent service.I was really happy with the sector kit and I can easily see how it strengthens the sector shaft and surrounding area. Adds in an extra bearing to the sector shaft as well! Thats about as solid as it gets there..Between this,the reinforcement plates for the lca's, and welding the kframe I think I might have a pretty accurate steering set up. I would like to also replace the plunge coupler with a u joint.
The idea of the torrington bearing is to decrease flex and provide an adjustable and torqued idler arm that will last indefinitely.It will likely decrease effort at the wheel a bit too,especially on a manual box!
Ffi are still working on it. And it has been done before,but I knew nothing about it! There was some kind of roller bearing kit availabe for idler arms,but the stock is all long gone. Sorry cant remember the name mentioned in the mopar action article.
