I got some new craftsman tools

the wifey bought me the car last fall and when I started to work on it I realized the only standard tool I have is a crescent wrench

Nothing car related, but we had a nice quiet Christmas. Just the two of us and the cats. My son didn't even call.

Ours was quiet also. Just me and the wife and our two dogs. We started by taking the dogs to Starbucks for their free "puppy lattes" then we took them to the park. My son didn't call either, but he did text...

I bought myself some front end parts and those showed up on the 23rd. So I guess that was a gift to myself. Other than that, I got a nice set of T-handle Allen wrenches that I needed forever!

You are responsible for your kids, until they become adults. When they become adults, they are responsible for themselves! Of course if they need help or advice we give it! But, sometimes they don't want our help, even tho everyone can see they are on the wrong path. Y'all gave them everything you could. He will get it together. I don't know you very well, but from other posts i've seen. You and your wife seem to get along great. That is your blessing enjoy it. He is living his life. Don't let it ruin yours. Sorry for preaching and rambling. But, I've seen my sister do this to my parents, and alot of my battle buddies, are dealing with this same stuff, with their adult children. For what it's worth (almost two cents) lol keep the head up. Merry Christmas to you and your wife.

I got...

Time with my family and got to see my son stare at his gifts on his first Christmas.

The best gift I was ever given was earlier this year.

Since my last name is Carr, I'd consider that Carr related.

Nothing car related other than a 1/18 Chuck Ostrich Plymouth A990 Super Stocker I got for myself. But we had a great Christmas with my mom over. Our dog Sammy knows how to open his presents and it never fails to amuse us when he puts a paw on the package and pulls the paper off it. He is always happy with whatever we give him.

Talk about a girl who knows what a guy wants, my woman knew just what i wanted without even having to tell her, the even more amazing thing is she got the right one!!!

Difficult question......The only "car" related part I got for Christmas is a stainless Steel coffee mug.....

Then to go with it, my entire list of what I got is as follows:

T-Shirt (ONE)
The above mentioned coffee mug.
Dunkin Donuts Coffee in a bag.
A single Christmas ornament. (hand made by my wife of me, my daughter and my Dad.)

Rob (and everyone who read my last comment)

i sincerely apologize for the way i worded my last post
i recognize now that it sounded disrespectful or even like i was kicking a man while he was down
that was never my intent and i apologize

it's ok. I shouldn't have brought the thread down with my poor mouth bullshit. It's difficult seeing "normal" family activities from others when my own is so dysfunctional. I fully expect to have to go to Phoenix to identify the body before long. We didn't raise him to lead the life he's leading. it kills me everyday inside. I was just lookin for a little outside support. I shouldda kept my mouth shut.
