I once had a chance to pick up some parts for my father in laws car at junkyard just outside of Chicago (I live about 150 miles from Chicago)
the best part was I had to be at the consulate in Chicago anyway so it was only a 15 minute detour

I needed a hood, a headlight, a front bumper and a fender and there was no way I could fit it in my car so I borrowed my buddies pick-up
(not sure what size it was but it has the chebby 350 in it)
I picked the truck up late at night and noticed my buddy had topped the tank of for me

so in the morning I load up my kids, the wife and my parents and we started the 150 mile trip to chi-town
we get there early so we drive around for a bit looking for a place to eat

at about 9 oclock I am at my appointment and I am at the desk when my phone rang, so I tossed it to the wifey and let her handle it

once im done at the desk I turn to the wifey and I ask her who it was
turned out it was my buddy who owned the truck...he just called to warn me to be sure to fill up the tank before I left because the fuel gauge is broken and STUCK ON FULL
