1974 25000 Original Mile 318 Duster

You are looking at a really cool 1974 25,000 original mile 318 Plymouth Duster. I hate to sell it, but other priorities have crept up......

This car is extremely original - A True Time Capsule. It could use a little TLC, or drive it as is - ORIGINAL.

The car has two build sheets and tons of dealer documentation.

I will start with what the car could use:

Like any car of this age, the power brakes should be serviced, but the car stops fine.
The body is where this car needs the most attention. Don't get me wrong, The floors, doors, trunk, fenders, underbody, hood, and deck lid are in great shape. There is some surface rust, but very minimal. However, it appears that the right rear quarter panel was hit at one point and the repair job has not faired well over time. The quarters just are showing signs of surface rust both in front and behind the rear wheels. These are typical issues with a car of this age. The car has several dings and scratches that are normal. It appears that the car was repainted at one point from the tape side stripe down.

The only other thing that it needs, in my opinion, are some of the light bulbs in the dash need to be replaced.

As far as the originality of the 25,000 miles, this is what I can tell you. The car was originally purchased in Peru, Indiana by a lady that worked at a local bank. She only drove it around town. After she passed away, the car went to her nephew. He played with it and drove it to car shows. He retired and sold it to a buddy. The buddy was not a Mopar guy, and never really bonded with the car. He sold it to me. If you look and the condition of the interior and feel the way that this car runs, I think that you will agree that this is an original 25,000 mile car. If necessary, I can get you in touch with the previous owners.
Engine is the original 318 2-barrel. It starts right up and runs great. Car is not a screamer, but it runs strong and is really responsive in terms of acceleration. Carburetor sticks open every once in a while at start up. Just needs to be cleaned in my opinion. Exhaust is new.

Transmission is the Original Numbers Matching unit. I believe it to be the 904 3-speed automatic and it shifts smooth.

Power steering works great and the car tracks perfectly.

Interior is in unbelievable shape – Carpet is new. It was replaced by the previous owner. (He told me that the floors are perfect, no rust.) The seats are like new. The dash is like new. The AM radio works great. All gauges function great. The speedometer works smoothly. All buzzers work. The dash pad is perfect (normally they are trashed by the sun as the car gets older). I can’t stress it enough, the interior is awesome.

The glass is original and in very good shape.Chrome is in good shape. Bumpers are good but do have the scratched and dings that you would expect.

I have tried to be as thorough as possible with my description of the vehicle, but there is a chance that I may have missed something. I welcome any and all questions and I welcome any vehicle inspections.
I have a clear Title. I can send you any other photos that you may need.

$9750. I will consider all reasonable offers. This car needs to be on the road. I also have a 1969 Newport Convertible that I would consider selling. PM me with any questions on either car.
