What EGR code? Was it for a circuit malfunction? P0406 or P0404? Sometimes you can give the EGR unit/sensor a light whack or two and straighten them out temporarily.

Does the engine run rough when the revs are at 2500 and lower, or does it just cut out completely?

Not sure what the numerics were, ironically it happened in the parking lot of advanced auto, so I just wrote it down and took it in there so they could look it up and they said that the codes were for oil change (which was what I was there for- to buy the oil) and the other was for an EGR sinsor code they said. I will see if I can find the paper I wrote it on though. And you have to hold the gas to the floor to get it started, it runs rough the whole time it is running no matter what RPMs your at, if you hold the RPM's above 2500 it will stay running, but when you let off the gas it drops quickly and when it gets around 2500 it cuts out completely.
