Value of 73 Chally

I sold my72 Rally 340 with an 18 spline Hemi 4 speed for $1,500 in 1995

It need frame rails trunk pan, floors repaired, Dutchman panel ( panel under the rear window) a pillars repaired, firewall repaired, radiator support also had rust holes. It also got beat with a metal stake that was holding a tarp down on the hood and front fender, thought I was going to cry when I seen it. Would have been better to have left it uncovered.

I could sell the transmission for what I sold the car, plus I gave the guy a bunch of parts and the number matching 340 that might be rebuild able. The car was a running driving car, not safe but did drive. Today that same car would be a $5,000 car. E bodies are crazy priced.

I would buy it for $1,500 right now, no hesitation, it is worth more in parts than that.

If you have the chance, the extra cash and a place to store it DO IT NOW, what are you waiting for? Had a friend make be a smoking deal on something he wanted to sell and I told him you could get more money out of it. I can kick myself everyday for passing. I just bought one and paid $1,500 for it plus $100 to the people that picked it up in Wisconsin and brought back to Indiana for me. The only difference it was the right color so didn't ave to get it painted.

If they set the price and are ok, you don't try and talk them down, with it then buy it!

Bought a 67 coronet 500 4 door for $200 I could have gotten it running in the kids driveway, but loaded on my trailer and took it home, 5 minutes after getting it home got it running and backed it off the trailer, sometimes best to leave well enough alone. Also bought a Honda 350-4 the seller told me the advertised price of $350 was cut in 1/2 due to it not running. Guy was riding it and it quit, ask him if I get it running I still buy it for $175, he said yes. Pulled the spare fuse out and replaced the blown fuse and rode off for $175
