Was just trying to show the OP your up against it with the /6 mainly cause of the poor head flow and need for deep gears.After probably $2000 in mods will only have an engine on par with a 2 bbl 318 not necessarily a bad thing as long as your ok with it.
And with the 440 thing just saying if you build anything less your just leaving performance on the table and probably costing more to do it and also not necessarily a bad thing.
