4bt 72 Dart

Back in 2009 or 2010 Arnold Baking Company closed it's doors. Left behind were hundreds of delivery trucks powered by Cummins 4bt backed by TH400 via adapter. Many are still out there not doing anything. Prime contenders for swaps. Trouble spots in the engine include the throttle rod that goes to the injector pump and that 4bt's are VERY,VERY noisy. Other than that, GO FOR IT. p.s. Don't forget to put a booster pump in the tank (45psi) Good Luck

Yeah, Hostess claimed bankruptcy here, to get rid of all the union workers and opened up in another state. And they sold their whole fleet of trucks. The guy I bought the truck from bought over 200 of them from an auction and that was only about a quarter that was up for sale.

I'm curious why you say I should use a pump in the tank? The engine has a mechanical lift pump on the engine, which is the same one the 6bt uses, and that's all they use. Why do you suggest to use one?
