I am doing the Ammeter by-pass on the car and have no lights on the back of the car. Headlights and parking lights work, along with the dome light. I have not done anything further back than the instrument panel. The instrument is out, anyone have any suggestions on this? Thanks a bunch....

Check fuse (tail light/instrument), and socket housing grounds.

Sometime around 1966-67, they started sharing the turn signal filament with the brake light, which meant routing the wiring thru the turn signal cam, so if your steering column is unplugged, you wouldn't have brake lights. But, I think you would still have running lights. As stated, you can check everything from the connector behind the left kick panel.
