I installed a new circuit board on the instrument cluster, and seen somewhere that they recommended installing a ground wire from the board to the metal on the dash. Anyone have any thoughts on this??? Thanks

The OEM design is chassis ground nearly throughout the car. A dedicated ground made of actual wire is always better than a daisy chain of hardware.

Many people run a ground wire from the cluster frame to the car body. As I recall, when I reworked the cluster in my 1965, several mounting screws connect a ground pad on the circuit board to the dash metal, so seems sufficient. I just sanded and coated w/ silicone grease. But, might have been my M-B's since I worked on those clusters too.
