When I came back from Mopars at the Battleship in Mobil, my fuel tank was leaking. I had this tank out and had it cleaned at a radiator shop last year when I modified it to install my fuel pump. This thing was clean when I took it off. No rust at all. Now it has what looks like galvanic rust in a few places. It apparently is bad enough that it has a pin hole. I did some research and came up with a product called Dragon's Blood. I'm going to try this because I don't want to have to fab a new tank. Has anyone tried this before?

I have a tank sealed with a very red compound for several years. No leaks. It might have been Red-Kote; sorry I don't know.

ive used caswell gas tank sealer with good results on plastic dirtbike tanks

Red Coat works very well but none of them will fix rust. It WILL continue to rust even if coated.

no red goo or mods needed

I bought a tank from Tanks Inc. It would fit, looked just like my tank except for one small detail, the filler tube didn't fit. I sent it back and Never got my money back. I think I'll fix what I have.
Ouch. I'd have my *** kicking boots on by now. I bought a tank for my dart and it was all of $75 shipped. Probably Chinese, which I hate, but better than a leaker I guess

Never ran into that problem before, was it a stock replacment or a FI tank?

Suppose to be a stock replacement. My tank has a "o" ring in it where the filler tube goes into it. The one they sent had a different setup. I don't know how it was suppose to connect but my filler tube wouldn't seal in their tank. I talked to the guy at Tanks Inc and he gave me a return authorization so I sent it back. Never got a refund.

Report it to your cc company as a charge back, that will get their attention quickly. my guess is you will have credit on account within a day or two. Nobody wants a charge back on cc processing as it hurts your rates. Might give them a stern call first, it could have been lost in shipping too.

Thanks Evan, I'll try that.
