Better not to use a vise to press out the shaft pin, they aren't meant for that and many vises get broken that way. You don't require a shop press, you can knock it out w/ a hammer, backed up by sockets, and a drift once it gets flush, but don't mushroom the end.

The new gasket retainer clips that come in the rebuild kits never fit right, and you can destroy the silicone gasket trying to secure it (how would I know?). Most people clean-up their old retainer and re-use it.
