Does anyone know if the rear frame rails from a Dart passenger car are the same as those on a wagon. Safe t cap lists rear frame rails for the Dart but does not specify if it will fit a wagon. I have sent them an e-mail asking such, but I know someone here will know the answer or have a better solution. Thanks

'63-'66 Dart wagons are Valiants underneath (106" wheelbase).

Which makes them shorter than a sedan, right? Doesn't that seem backwards? Maybe it's fuzzy hindsight, but I think of wagons as larger, is there a reason why a Dart wagon would be shorter than a sedan or coupe? Was that the norm with American auto makers to make wagons shorter wheelbase?

Wheelbase is distance between front and rear wheel centrelines. It does not determine distance between front of front bumper and rear of rear bumper.

No, the A-body wagons were all one wheelbase because it didn't make economic sense to do it otherwise. Not enough volume.

the dart wagons are in reality valiant wagons with dart clips, interiors, and tail lights.
