Dipstick won't go back in

Yes there was a post here recently where dipstick was hitting crank. Anything's possible? ?
This the 1st time you pulled it out?
wasn't that a stroker crank that actually ate part of the dipstick?

if the rod goes in fine, I would just cut the bottom half of the dipstick off, then cut off the same length of the rod and ducktape that to the remainder of the dipstick and run it (well, I would if it was a chevy)
