rumored last year they would have an all mopar deal ( races, show, swap) this fall. any info..??? I see nothin on their website.

This is info I got a month ago, things may have changed..From what I hear,it's still a go-no go.I don't know how they are gathering their information, but response to the track was showing very little as far as car count.Check for info on the MATS web site. The Vegas promoter JP Motorsports is working with the track manager on this event. That's all I know...

I remember back what 8-9 yrs back, when they had their all mopar drags, car show, swap.... big event,, had been going on there how many years?? an EVENT, not all mopar day at the drags,,,, oh well....

Go to MATS web and you will find all the info on the St Louis race in October 1st and 2nd. Looks like it's a go.They have a phone number that you can call too.

my question is will the local mopar guy/club attend this or boycott like the last show/race few years ago. I think mopar action was the host? ???????

I haven't heard anything negative about it with JP motorsports is the new promoter. Hope all will be well with the locals.

Just as an FYI..

There are NO ROOMS available in Collinsville, IL.

They have all been booked up for months for a ****** and Opioid seminar an the Collinsville convention center.

If you need rooms try Caseyville or around that area. It is about the same distance to the track/show.

I got rooms at the Quality Inn at Caseyville.

I only live about 40 miles from the track so no excuses for me not making it, lol

BTW: other close towns to look for lodging would be Granite City, Edwardsville, Troy (IL), and Maryville

New event, has been confirmed as of Nationals weekend. Yes, put on by the same people who have been doing Mopars at the Strip for 14 years. I believe their website shows the host club is Gateway Mopars. Yes there are "other" makes invited, same as Las Vegas. Las Vegas had 2 Mustangs & a dozen GM vehicles in the car show. They had their own parking area and awards. Drags have a few more Mopars vs the rest classes. The SS & FX classes have been open to anything that was legal for those classes for years.

I got my credentials Friday. I will be showing the 70 Challenger convertible. and setting up in the swap area. For Hotels try Granite City, Pontoon beach and Stlouis. I hope this is a go for a long time.

They started playing radio commercials on the local radio station K-she 95. I spent the night in the garage trying to decide what to take to the swap.

I fly out Thursday for Friday setup at the Layson's booth. Be there all weekend. Fly back Monday.
