Will these fit?

I looked up tire section widths and diameters on Tire Rack, and built a cardboard template of the cross section that I used with the bare rim to check clearances. I was checking a set of 14x7 SBP TorqueThrusts with 3.5in. backspace. My conclusion was that 225/60-14 would be the largest tire that would possibly fit on the front of my 67 Barracuda with the K-H 4-piston disks, and I wasn't even sure of that (hard to test full lock and full suspension compression without being able to bounce the car on the suspension). I was hoping to squeeze in 235/60-14s. The problem area was the front lower corner of the fender. Your rims have more back space which would help a lot. My 3.5in backspace is the same as the factory 5.5in rims, so the extra 1.5 inch width is all on the outside, where it sweeps back and forth and potentially interferes with the fender. Basically, you want as much backspace as possible without interfering with the strut rod or sway bar or other fixed components.
