Cleaning up the interior of the old heap. Speaker box carpet is pretty good at hiding some of the ugly.

Looks great! What did you make the panels out of?
The fiber board of the stock panels was still pretty good. The vinyl had some tears & bubbles. I peeled that off & glued the carpet on. Had to put the door panel back on when I found out it was possible to toss my lap belt into the door & couldn't open the door.

The po made the bulkhead & package tray panels out of aluminum. I made a rough template out of posterboard & trimmed it after I glued it in.

Nice work. I am trying to think about possibilities for my interior. What are you doing for the rear seat area? Any good pics of that? Where did you buy the speaker carpet in such large pieces? I was thinking about trying to find material to redo my door panels.

That looks awesome! I'd also like to know where to get that material.

I got the material from amazon. It was $25 for 5 yards 48" wide. That was enough to do both door panels, the rear panels and the package tray/bulkhead. I'll try to get some more pics posted.

Do you think that material could be dyed to a different color? I would like to keep a red panel but I like your idea. I guess you could spray them with interior paint but not sure that would penetrate into the material.
Let me know your thoughts
Thanks Rod

I`d look for something the color you want .

I don't think this stuff would take vinyl die or paint very well. Most of it I've seen is some shade of gray or black.
