then clean it enough to get an accurate color shade match and whether it's gloss, flat, matte or some variation of the black finish and put it in the booth and paint it --- doesn't have to be a rattle can paint job.
You are correct regarding the rattle can paint job....WTF was I thinking?.....must be the fumes from the temporary LP heater in the new shop that put me on tilt
