Guy asks about putting a wide tire on his 67 DART and gets responses for Barracuda and Dusters. LOL Gotta love the internet. Hopefully the OP understands not all A bodies are created equal.
Every time someone asks about tire sizes the responses include different models of A-bodies. Dart's, Scamps, and Valiants are similar for tire clearance. Even those models vary by model year a bit. Then there's Duster and Demons, and Barracuda's are their own thing really. Based on the measurements they have a bit more room than even the Dusters do, so you can't compare them to anything in the front or the back.
The only thing that is pretty much the same is the frame to inner wheel tub relationship (down to assembly tolerances anyway). So, across all platforms, doing a 3" spring relocation but leaving the wheel tubs stock is a waste of time. The wheel tub is the limiting factor after just a 1/2" offset. After that it doesn't matter where the springs are for tire clearance, the wheel tubs are the limit. But the size of wheel that will fit in the tub varies greatly by model.
