I am planning on mini tubbing my Dart. Would it be best also Nuro the axle? Or do I just need to move the purches? I am looking for the better final product so any suggestions are very welcome. Thank you very much

Figure out what rims and tires you want to run FIRST. The selection when it comes to wide rims is pretty limited especially when you get to 10"+, so if you want to use off the shelf rims it would be best to figure out what rims you want first, then the tires you're going to run on them, and narrow the axle so that the wheel and tire combo you want fits in your wheel tubs. You don't have to narrow the axle to do the mini-tub, but getting the wheels you want to use to fit may require it. And narrowing the axle may actually be cheaper/easier than having a custom set of wheels built, depending on what you want.

Food for thought- I had a 68 dart with 15x10 rims & 325x50 x15s tires. I mini tubbed it, moved the springs in & narrowed the rear 3 inch from each side.

Agree with everything that has been said. On my 66 Dart I did a mini tub but did not narrow the rear. Wish I had at least gone 1" or more on each side as I didnt have axles at the time and had to buy a set anyways. Also moved the springs in as well. Now my 15x10 with 6 1/2" BS just clears the fender lip and I have about 2" clearance on the inside. Well live and learn but their suggestions are right on.

Depending on ride height, It's a lot easy to get a wheel with less backspace onto the car when using a wide tire. Especially if the car is low in the rear, sitting over the tire.

You need to move the rear back 1'' to have good clearance on the front side of wheel well opening if you are planning on running a 28'' are taller tire. If you are going with Cal-tracs system they can move the center pin back 1'' on the leaf springs

Nope not true
I have 325 50 15 nitto tires under my 67 dart with 15 x 10 rims with 7.25 backspace with stock width A body rear axle on ss leaf springs and longer shackles to jack rear of car up. Also 3 inch inboard springs and mini tub.
Everyone loves the look of the car set on kill
