It's just so tempting to mod it.

We have a bone stock (save for the HEI ignition and gauge cluster) 72 Dart Swinger in original Top Banana yellow paint.
The black vinyl top was removed due to it starting to rust under it and the roof painted black.
Newly gone through and painted motor .030 over 318 two barrel with a 340 grind cam and new rebuilt 904.
Front and rear seats have been recovered stock style, but the drivers butt area has a 4" tear in the seam.
It could be, and is occaisonally started and driven as is with no issue's.
All lights signals work except the interior overhead light.
Dash cluster is white gauges with LED lighting. (couldn't help myself):D
Body condition is what you see in the pics with a little needing to be done here and there.
Even the lower quarters are all solid.
Has Kelsey Hayes discs with four piston calipers.

It's soooo tempting to mod this thing with a bigger motor, an overdrive trans, and nice wheels and tires but I also think I should leave it alone.

Should I turn it into a hotrod or not? :D

Original is cool, but with that cam, maybe a period correct (LD4B) 4 barrel intake and carb. Really leaving it makes it different cause most people mod these cars.

I think everyone needs one reliable daily driver and 1 screamer, so you can scratch the itch of the day. JMO. Ask me what I think of your color combo, lol.

I still think about taking my car back stock.

Gotta have two..... one stock and one to rock

Put a Ford or Chevy motor in it. Only way to make it fast.

Well if we are gonna talk chit, you need one of those tailpipe turbines to make serious power. If you put two of them on you can double the power of that mullet-motor
lol
I totally get what you mean. Just about every Mopar I ever owned got some mod or other. Many got engines or gears, and usually trannies and TCs. Some just 4bbls and duals. It was hard to stop doing that. And then I found FABO, and my life changed forever, lol.

Looks pretty sweet !!
Mod it !!
It will make your smile bigger !!

It's a freaking 1972 dodge dart. Do whatever will make YOU happy.

It's not a rare car. It's not a valuable car. So what are looking for this car to be or looking for it to do? That's the path you need to take.

Me personally I'd be doing wheels, offset hangers, frame connectors, convertor, headers and a 500cfm 2bbl on it. Unless you're going to show it I wouldn't even mess with the engine compartment. To do that right you have to pull down the whole front of the car. The mods I mentioned will allow you to drive the car everyday reliably but also allow you to go further without re-spending money. spend your money once.

you already have a driver, make this one have some attitude
