67 Dart steering coupler removal

I have the steering column out of the car with the coupler still attached to the shaft. My coupler does not look like it has the very small pin at the top of it that later years do. How do I remove the coupler? Thanks for any help.

It should have a tiny pin that holds the guts in. Pop the top off and look/feel for the inside end of the pin ( it was driven flush to the outside wall ).
