Got my eye on some bench seats from a 4 door 1973 Valiant. Will they fit into my 2 door 1973 Duster?
Will 4 door seats fit in 2 door, same year?

Great - thanks. That's what I needed to know.
From what I think I recall, A Duster rear bench is different even from other 2 door a-bodies. The duster seat back is taller to a higher package shelf. It would stick up in the back window of a Dart or Valiant.
Any 4 door rear seat bottom will fall short in width to a 2 door interior.

They will all fit from 2 to 4 dr but like stated the 4 dr seat won't flip forward for rear seat access.
Duster's/Demon's/Dart Sport's won't swap upper rear seat backs with 2 door Dart's/Scamp's/Valiant's, the seats are a different height. I'm not positive about the 4-doors, because I believe those were also different from the 2 door cars. I know the roof line was taller, the 4 doors used narrower and taller windshield's.

I was looking at a pair of nice-looking bench seats for sale here on FABO from a Valiant. It didn't occur to me that my current Duster seats, though in need of recovering/replacing, are split so they can fold forward. Not quite ready to sacrifice access to the back so they're out!

I have used 2 dr seats in my 4 doors before and once put a 4 dr seat in my 2 door.
Huh. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that they were taller. Regardless, even if they're the same as the 2 door hardtops they still won't work in a Duster.
