I had the same thought. I ordered one last week and received it a few days ago. I figured, at worst, it's a starting point that I can modify to accommodate an A-500.
I'm using a stock 318 or 5.2, and don't need the strength and weight of a 518.
Nice! Let us know how it works out! I am wondering if the upper cross member mods are still needed or are as extensive when you make your own. I have seen the threads of A500 install.
